Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Born in Stavanger on the 15th of June 1996. Her professional name is Aurora. Her name could be also stylized as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, released in May 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the band Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry posted a video that she supported Runaway. This brought her some attention. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano in her basement, and becoming enthralled by the sounds it made. The parents of her May-Britt family along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but as a way to develop. Her parents encouraged her to compose. Her influences include renowned authors Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her affinity with Bjork's style. Responding to her mother's advice that people ought not to aim at achieving fame through her songwriting, but instead recognize the significance of their lives and their impact on society. As a young girl, she began to play the piano. At age nine, she, started writing songs. The family did not know about this until she turned fourteen. Aurora was not a goal. Her sole passion is to compose music. For her, music is the best method of expressing anything.
