Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani and Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist who is currently fighting with the Flyweight Division of the UFC. Valentina is her younger sister, as well as a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports in the form of an Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off her professional MMA professional career back in the year 2002 after the victory over Anara Baanova, during the KFK Championships of Kyrgystan. She was victorious by second round TKO and then won the next 2 fights in the WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003, accumulating a record of 3-0. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA so that she could focus on boxing. She made her return against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She went on to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She was a part of the Dana White Contender Series 2018 following the departure of the league. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the lower body. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded the UFC contract following this win. Antonina was offered the UFC contract following her win. Shevchenko won the unanimous victory, however she fell in the second round to Roxanne Modafferi on a split decision. Antonina bounced off the loss and fought Lucie Prudilova in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a back naked choke submission. This was by far the most exciting fight of night for this fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in her next 3-fights she lost to Ariane Lipski and falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina recently lost by TKO in the second round to Casey O'Neill, at UFC Fight Night Santos Vs. Walker.
